Who I am
I am Tehira Taylor, a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist trading as Tehira Taylor Therapy. I am the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact me at hello@tehirataylor.com.
What information I collect
When you use the contact form on this website, I collect your name, email address and any other information you choose to share with me. If you provide a phone number, this is also stored. I do not collect any information automatically beyond standard website analytics (if enabled).
Why I collect it
I collect your information solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed to therapy, to maintain appropriate records as required by my professional obligations under the BACP Ethical Framework. The legal basis for processing your data is your consent (given when you submit the contact form) and, where a therapeutic relationship is established, the performance of a contract.
How I store and protect your data
Your data is stored securely and accessed only by me. I do not use shared systems or third-party platforms to store client information beyond those necessary to deliver sessions (such as a secure video platform). All session notes are stored in accordance with BACP guidance and UK GDPR requirements. I will never sell, share or pass on your personal data to any third party without your explicit consent, except where required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm.
How long I keep your data
If you contact me but do not proceed to therapy, I will delete your details within six months of our last communication. If a therapeutic relationship is established, I will retain session records for seven years following the end of therapy (or until your 25th birthday if you were under 18 at the time), in line with professional guidance.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (subject to my professional obligations), and withdraw consent at any time. Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies beyond those strictly necessary for the site to function.
Complaints
