What sessions feel like

This isn’t about
being fixed.

Therapy with me is a genuine relationship — not a performance, not an assessment, and not a place where you need to have the right answers.

Sessions are unhurried and led by you. Some days we might stay with something that happened this week. Other times we might find ourselves going much further back — into family patterns, early experiences, or the stories you’ve been carrying without realising it.

Where it feels right, I may invite you to slow down and notice what’s happening in your body as we talk — a tension, a shift, a place where something seems to land differently. This isn’t about adding more to your mind. It’s about learning to include the whole of you in the process.

I work at your pace. There’s nothing you need to have figured out before we begin.

How we begin

01

Free consultation

A 20-minute online conversation — no commitment, no pressure. A chance to meet, ask questions, and feel whether this is the right fit for you.

02

First session

We take time to explore what’s brought you here and what you’re hoping for. There’s no agenda beyond beginning to get to know each other.

03

Ongoing work

Sessions are typically weekly, at a regular time that works for you. Consistency creates the conditions for real change to happen.

04

At your own pace

There’s no set timeline. Some people work with me for a few months, others for much longer. We review regularly and the direction is always yours.

“Something shifts when we feel genuinely met by another person. That experience of being truly seen — often for the first time — can itself be part of what heals.”

Fees & practicalities

Simple, transparent,
no surprises.

I believe therapy should be as accessible as possible. My fees reflect the depth of the work and the training behind it, while remaining mindful of the realities of everyday life.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online via a secure video platform. I ask for 72 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange — this allows me to offer the time to someone else.

If cost is a barrier, please do mention it when you get in touch. I hold a small number of reduced-fee spaces and I’d rather have that conversation than have you not reach out at all.

Questions people often ask

FAQs

I’ve never tried therapy before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of the people I work with are coming to therapy for the first time. There’s nothing you need to know or prepare. The first conversation is simply about getting to know each other and seeing how it feels.

I’m not sure what I want to talk about. Can I still reach out?

Yes. You don’t need to arrive with a clear problem or a defined goal. Often the most important work starts with a sense that something isn’t right — even if you can’t yet put words to it. We find our way together.

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy means I don’t follow a single method or model. I draw from several approaches — including psychodynamic, person-centred and Gestalt — and adapt the work to what you need. The relationship between us is always central, whatever else we draw on.

What do you mean by embodiment practices?

Sometimes the most important information isn’t in our thoughts — it’s in our bodies. Embodiment practices are gentle ways of bringing awareness to physical sensations, breath and presence during a session. This might be as simple as noticing where you feel something in your body as we talk. Nothing is ever imposed or required.

How long will I need to come to therapy?

There’s no set answer to this — it depends entirely on what you’re working with and what feels right for you. Some people find that a few months of focused work is enough. Others find ongoing therapy valuable over a longer period. We review as we go, and the decision is always yours.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

Research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face work for most people. Many clients find that being in their own space actually helps them feel more comfortable and open. All sessions take place via a secure, confidential video platform.

What if I want to stop?

You are free to end therapy at any time. Where possible, I’d encourage a final session to bring things to a close in a way that feels considered rather than abrupt — but this is never an obligation. Your autonomy in this process matters.
